Sunderland for rare clean sheet
Sunderland's Premiership clash with Arsenal at the Stadium of Light promises to be something of a strange encounter. The home side are relegated already and are preparing for life in the Championship next season. The Gunners' hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season slipped further when Spurs won on Sunday but of course Arsene Wenger's men are looking ahead to this year's final in Paris against Barcelona in a fortnight's time. We can only guess at the attitude of both sides, or indeed, what teams will be fielded but we will stick our neck out and suggest that you take Bet Direct's 6/1 for the north east side to keep a clean sheet.

Spurs to see off Bolton
Tottenham welcome Bolton to White Hart Lane hoping to get the three points that will help secure an historic place in the Champions League next season. Spurs got the point they were looking for at rivals Arsenal last week in a controversial encounter and will be full of confidence for the visit of the Trotters. We think the Londoners will be super-motivated for this game so we will be taking Bet Direct’s 7/5 for the home side to be winning at half-time and full-time

High Noon on Saturday
High Noon for the Premiership’s top two as Chelsea take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. The Blues will take the championship for the second year in a row with a win but they have come in for criticism recently after losing the FA Cup semi-final to Liverpool.United, meanwhile, left their title challenge too late this season but have shown plenty of promise for the next campaign. The Champions, however, will want to put on a show for the nation and we think 5/4 for the home win with Bet Direct is worth a punt.

Barcelona to win in second half
Barcelona take on AC Milan in the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Nou Camp for the right to meet Arsenal in the Paris final. Ludovic Giuly's fine second-half strike gave the Catalans a crucial advantage in Italy and in truth the gap could have been wider. The Italians are dogged if nothing else but fate seems certain to bring Barca and the Gunners together. We reckon Ronaldinho and co will not fail their fanatical fans and Bet Direct’s 7/2 for draw half-time/ Barcelona full-time is decent enough.

Draw at Craven Cottage
Monday night’s live televised match comes from Craven Cottage with Fulham taking on Wigan in a clash between two sides who have little to play for apart from pride. With only a few games to go of this season neither club are in danger of going down and Wigan’s European hopes are gone. With this in mind, this match has got draw written all over it which is why we will be taking Bet Direct’s 11/5 on offer.

Hammers to see off Boro
West Ham take on Middlesbrough in the second of the FA Cup semi-finals from Villa Park. The Teessiders have shown they are something of a cup specialist team this season, reaching the UEFA Cup semis as well. The Hammers have consolidated their Premiership place and now look to reach their first FA Cup final since they won the trophy in 1980 beating Arsenal at Wembley thanks to a Trevor Brooking header. The two teams are hard to split but we have a hunch the Hammers will do it and will take Bet Direct’s 8/5 for a West Ham win.

Chelsea - Liverpool stalemate in first FA Cup Semi
The biggest of the two FA Cup finals comes from Old Trafford where champions Chelsea take on Liverpool. These two sides must be sick of the sight of each other after meeting in the Champions League in recent seasons but it is the Blues who hold the psychological edge in terms of results. This time however, we reckon it could take more than 90 minutes to separate the two teams and will take Bet Direct’s 2/1 for the draw over normal time.

Grimsby to snatch second half victory
Coca-Cola League Two football from Grimsby doesn’t sound like a perfect way to spend your Friday night but there should be plenty of entertainment when Cheltenham visit. Both sides, currently occupying fourth and fifth position in the table respectively, still harbour genuine hopes of promotion through the play-offs. The home side drew twice over Easter but we think they will edge this crunch game and will take 10/3 with Bet Direct for a draw half time/ Grimsby.

Arsenal for first leg draw
The next step in Arsenal’s Champions League journey takes them to Villarreal for their historic semi-final, first-leg tie. The Gunners take on the unfashionable Spanish side who have progressed through to the latter stages due to a formidable defence and the ability to hold onto narrow leads. However, the Londoners may be just too classy over the two games and we reckon Bet Direct’s 11/8 for the draw, which the visitors will be more than happy to accept, is good value.

Draw both halves attractive at 4/1
Easter Monday is always a pivotal time in the football calendar and this is West Brom’s last chance to spark yet another miracle comeback when they play Bolton. The Trotters were unsurprisingly beaten by Chelsea at home on Saturday while luckless Albion were undone by Arsenal and some dodgy refereeing at Highbury. We reckon the midlanders may just be demoralised now and Sam Allardyce’s men should be good enough to get a point and all but consign West Brom to the Championship. Bet Direct will offer 4/1 for draw half-time/ draw full-time which we will gladly take.

Villa to win local derby
Sunday afternoon promises an intriguing Premiership double-header with the first live televised game being the Birmingham derby from Villa Park. Both sides are struggling badly again with the Blues in dire need of three points to help stave off relegation. With more to play for than their hapless neighbours, we reckons Steve Bruce’s side will do him proud and Bet Direct’s 2/1 for the away win is decent value. Later on, Blackburn take on Liverpool at Ewood Park and on recent evidence this could be a high scoring game. However, the points may be shared here and Bet Direct’s 11/5 for the draw is too tempting to resist.

Chelsea to be held at Bolton
Chelsea make the trip north to Bolton hoping to chalk up another three points as their bid to retain their Premiership title comes closer to conclusion. The league leaders gave West Ham a goal of a start and went down to 10 men last week before showing the class which simply blew their London neighbours away. We reckon tenacious Bolton will hold their own until the break before the visitors again come out on top and will have a few quid on Bet Direct’s 10/3 for draw half-time/ Chelsea

Ayegbeni for first goal
The FA Cup 6th round replay sees Middlesbrough take on Charlton at the Riverside in a match that must surely improve from the bore-draw in the first encounter. The Teesiders made the UEFA Cup semi-finals last midweek in the most dramatic of fashion with a 4-1 win over Basle and must now be confident of beating the Londoners at the second time of asking. Inconsistency has been a problem for Steve McClaren’s men this season but we reckon cup glory beckons once more and will take striker Yakubu Ayegbeni to grab the first goal at 9/2 with Bet Direct.

Grays to see off Exeter
Conference football takes pride of place this Monday night with Grays welcoming Exeter. Grays have already beaten the St James Park men over two legs in the FA Trophy semi-final last month and also away from home in the league earlier in the season. And try as we might, we cannot see anything other than a home win on this occasion and will take Bet Direct's 9/5 for Grays to be winning at half-time and full-time.

Arsenal to halt United's progress
Manchester United have a monumental game on their hands as they hang on to the coat tailes of Chelsea at the top of the Premiership. United welcome heroic Arsenal who are fresh from their Champions League triumph against Juventus in Turin and looking forward to a semi-final spot against Villarreal. Matches between these two are always titanic occasions and we reckon Old Trafford will witness yet another classic encounter. Bet Direct will give you 3/1 for the away win, a great piece of value and odds that we will not ignore.

Birmingham to continue mission impossible
Birmingham shocked the Premiership - and probably themselves - last week they managed to hold table-topping Chelsea to a goalless draw at home. The second-bottom Blues used up a large chunk of lucking keeping Jose Mourinho's men at bay but the point may breath fresh life into their battle to avoid the drop. Steve Bruce's men travel to tiring Wigan who seem to have run out of steam a little and we think battling Birmingham will be value at 13/5 with Bet Direct for the away win.

Palace too strong in second half
The Championship draws ever closer to its conclusion with the top of the table promising an exciting finale. Crystal Palace must hope to bolster their play-off hopes when they travel to take on Leicester City. The Foxes lost 2-1 to Norwich last weekend while Palace convincingly beat promotion hopefuls Watford 3-1 at home. We think the increasingly confident Londoners will prove too strong and will take Bet Direct’s 9/2 for draw/Crystal Palace.

Arsenal to hold out for draw
Will Arsenal be in the semi-finals of the Champions League after their trip to Turin to play Juventus? The Theirry Henry- inspired Gunners were magnificent in the first leg at Highbury beating the Italians 2-0 with some ease. The Grand Old Lady of Italy will surely up their game in front of their own fans but we reckon Arsenal will be able to comfortably hold out for the draw and will have a few quid on Bet Direct’s 12/5 for the stalemate.

More joy for Blackburn
Monday night’s football comes from Ewood Park where high-flying Blackburn Rovers welcome Wigan. The Premiership newcomers have slipped a little after a fine start to the season while Mark Hughes men, who have done a Premiership double over Manchester United this season, are still firmly in the hunt for a Champions League place next season. We tip more joy for the home side and opt for the draw half-time/Rovers full-time at 10/3 with Bet Direct.

Ashton for 4/1 first goal
Sunday’s big games sees West Ham United take on Charlton at Upton Park in one of the less intense London derbies. The Hammers’ confidence shouldn’t be knocked too much after putting in a fine effort in their narrow defeat against Manchester United on Wednesday.Charlton manager Alan Curbishley - being linked with the England job on a weekly basis it appears - will be looking to put one over his old side. He may have to wait a while yet. Irons’ striker Dean Ashton at 4/1 to score the first goal for Bet Direct seems good value for a player who is surely chapping on the England door.
