Boro to hold Liverpool to draw at Riverside
The Reds are one of the most frustrating sides in the country who can be brilliant or brutal, mostly depending on where they are playing and in what competition.
Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield which they have turned into something of the fortress it was in their late 70's and 80's hey-day.
However, it is when they board the coach that the fun begins and they have lost five out of six on their travels and now trail arch-rivals Manchester United by a daunting 14 points with the title all but conceded.
Optimists would point out that this is the kind of fixture where Liverpool should win. But optimists have paid in hard cash for being wrong in the past.
The Teessiders are hardly a model of consistency either but they have secured maximum points from their last three home league fixtures and boast a solid recent record against Liverpool in their last four encounters at the Riverside.
So what's it to be?
Betterbet.com offer 2/1 the draw and that's about as confident as we can be in this fixture.
